Run Mag Mile® 5K & 10K Race Details
The Course
Both 5K and 10K runners will start on Ida B. Wells and finish on Columbus Drive, just North of Buckingham Fountain. 10K runners will get an added scenic bonus when turning south on Columbus Drive before entering the Lakefront at Roosevelt, followed by a look around Monroe Harbor before heading back down Columbus Drive to the finish.

10K Start Time: 7:00 a.m.
*A 15 minute mile pace must be maintained. Runners who fall behind pace on Michigan Avenue, will be diverted to the sidewalk, or SAG’d to the finish line.
Course is USATF Certified
Packet Pickup
Thursday, September 5: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, September 6: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Parking: Complimentary parking is available, for up to 2 hours, with validation at Fleet Feet South Loop. Accessible via the CTA, Red/Blue/Orange and Green Lines stop at Roosevelt, just a few blocks away.
Parking & Transit
Participants and spectators are encouraged to travel to Grant Park via public transportation. The CTA will be increasing early morning train capacity on race day. Specific details of the extra service will be posted on the CTA Customer Alerts page. For travel information, visit CTA’s Trip Planner. If you drive, please allow sufficient time for heavy traffic congestion and street closures due to the race.
Official Parking Partner: Millennium Parking Garages
Millennium Garages offer the closest and most convenient parking on race day, with more than 9,200 spaces. Save time and purchase parking at Millennium Parking Garages before you get there! The garages can be accessed as follows:
Millennium Park Garage and Millennium Lakeside Garage can be accessed via eastbound Lower Randolph Street to southbound Columbus Drive
Grant Park North and Grant Park South Garages can be accessed via southbound Michigan Avenue at Randolph Street and Jackson Drive. They can also be accessed via northbound Michigan Avenue at Van Buren and Jackson until 6:45 a.m. Race Day parking at Grant Park North and Grant Park South will be available at regular posted rates.
Location
Gear Check
5:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Attach the Gear Check tab from the top of your bib to your bag that you are using along with a luggage tie. These will be provided at packet pick-up but can also be picked up from the Gear Check tent or Information Tent.
Corrals
Participants must enter the race site from Michigan and Jackson only. Start Corrals are located along Columbus Drive at Ida B. Wells. Corrals will open at 6:00am and close at 6:55am for both distances. Entry to start corrals B-F is from the north, again, enter the race site from Michigan and Jackson. Corral A entry is on the northeast side of Columbus at Ida B Wells.
Corrals are marked on your bib with a letter of the alphabet. Please line up accordingly. You may move back in corrals, but not forward. All runners must maintain a minimum of 15-minute pace per mile.

Please note that baby joggers are not allowed on the course.
Post Race Brunch
Celebrate your finish with your friends and family at the Run Mag Mile® 5K & 10K post-race brunch taking place in beautiful Grant Park. Treat yourself to breakfast and a beer (21+)! Mingle with your fellow runners as you enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Chicago. Come for the race, stay for the brunch – it’s the perfect start to your weekend!
Maggie Speaks will be performing at the Goose Island Stage starting at 7:45 a.m.
What’s on the Menu?
Brunch will include waffles, sausage and Eli’s Cheesecake. Service will be begin at 7:15 a.m.

Taste of Chicago
This year’s Run Mag Mile® is in conjunction with the Taste of Chicago. In addition to brunch, participants will receive 2 tickets to redeem at participating booths. The Taste of Chicago will open at 9:00 a.m. for ticket redemption.

Age group awards will be given to the top three male and female winners in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65-69.
Age group winners will receive a voucher to Fleet Feet Chicago for 1 pair of Feetures Socks (valued at $18) redeemable in-store only.
